This guide explains how to configure an email address created in your hosting control panel (DirectAdmin) in the Gmail app on Android.
Step 1 – Add a new email address
Open the Gmail app on your Android device.
Click Add an email address.
Step 2 – Choose account type
You will see a list of email providers.
Click Other to add your business email address.
Step 3 – Enter your email address
Enter your full email address (for example: [email protected]) and click Next.
Step 4 – Select account type
Choose Personal (IMAP).
We recommend IMAP because it keeps your emails synchronized across all your devices.
Step 5 – Enter your password
Enter the password of your email account and click Next.
Step 6 – Incoming server settings
Enter the following details:
- Username: your full email address
- Password: your email password
- Server: mail.yourdomain.com
Click Next.
Step 7 – Outgoing server settings
Enter the following details:
- SMTP server: mail.yourdomain.com
- Username: your full email address
- Password: your email password
Click Next.
Step 8 – Account options
Select your preferred synchronization settings.
We recommend keeping the default settings.
Click Next.
Step 9 – Account name and sender name
Enter the name that recipients will see when you send an email.
Click Next to complete the setup.
Step 10 – Setup completed
Your email account has now been successfully configured in Gmail.
You can now send and receive emails on your Android device.
